JFK asks questions

JFK used all of the rhetorical strategies in his inaugural speech. The one I am focusing on is rhetorical sentences and they are sentences that are asking a question, but dont really expect an answer for. In paragraph 23 he uses the only 2 rhetorical sentences of his whole speech.

  1. Can we forge against these enemies a grand and global allicance, North and South, East and West, that can assure a more fruitful life for all mankind?
  2. Will you join in that historic effort?
